Nikki Hafezi-Kristoffersen (Switzerland/USA) is a healthcare management consultant in strategy, business development, intellectual property, fundraising and international regulatory affairs. She specializes in medical devices and hospital management with a focus in ophthalmology and vision science.
Ms. Hafezi has been voted on the Ophthalmologists’ peer-selected global Top 40 Under 40 List for the most influential personalities in ophthalmologists. She has built and led international medical device businesses, ophthalmic hospitals, and clinics in over 70 countries.
Ms. Hafezi has a master’s degree in law (intellectual property), specialization in biostatistics, and will be completing her PhD from the faculty of medicine and health sciences.

Farhad Hafezi is an ophthalmic surgeon and clinical researcher. Hafezi is the former chairman of the University of Geneva Eye Clinic and currently serves as Chief Medical Officer of the ELZA Institute in Switzerland and board member of ESCRS.
Hafezi holds 4 professorships (Geneva, Switzerland, USC Los Angeles, USA, NYU New York, USA and Wenzhou, China. Hafezi is considered a pioneer of corneal cross-linking (CXL) and he has received more than 54 national and international awards, including the 2014 Carl Camras Translational Research Award of ARVO.
Since 2014, he was voted five times onto the PowerList100, comprising the most influential people in ophthalmology.
Hafezi is one of the most cited ophthalmologists of his generation. His scientific contributions include over 260 articles, letters, reviews and book chapters, including publications in Nature Medicine and Nature Genetics. His h index is 61, he has more than 16,000 citations in the scientific literature and a cumulative impact factor of 1045 points.
